    I agree vertical and perennial plants add so much depth and interest ! Simply by adding an arch in the garden without anything on it completely changed the perspective ! I think I'll find a climbing rose in fall but for now I'm trying to grow annuals on it but no results yet.Last full I've added a few shrubs in the garden so they're not in their full effect yet but I see it coming :) I love your idea of stools to get pots at different heigjhts, I have to find a way to do that in my shady corner of the terrace.

      Hi Maïa 👋🏻 That's so true, perennials and shrubs don't give an immediate effect like annuals do, but they are such a great investment and look better each year! Glad you found some new ideas here ☺️!

    Thank you for amazing video. I wanted to ask how to fix over watering for containers. I have windows between east south so I have less exposure in Summer. I have used all purpose potting mix with vermiculite 1:1. But I still see overwatering as the problem for many dieing plants in basket. I would highly appreciate your advice. Thank you ❤

    • @17m2garden
      @17m2garden 2 дні тому

      Hi! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Vermiculite has a high water-holding capacity, so adding a little bit will prevent the soil from drying out too quickly. But with 50% vermiculite, the soil will most likely be permanently wet and this is what causes the plants to rot, unfortunately 🫤. Perlite would be a better option, it improves drainage and aeration in the soil.

    • @17m2garden
      @17m2garden 5 днів тому

      Hi! Yes, I think it even says on the packaging to use it every 7-14 days. And as for your other question - If you're watering it well but it's still turning brown, maybe it's planted in a too sunny location, macrophyllas enjoy morning sunlight but protection from the scorching afternoon sun.

    All your plants are beautiful, right now my favourites are the hydrangeas and the japanese maple. Don t you think your phoenix bird is suffering because it had more sun before you put the privacy screen? It is true about the clematis , it doesn t look that dark on the video like that one we have in the next to the building. Bye the way, the japanese maple has one stem, didn t it ? Because in my pot there are 2 stems, one simple and one double, so I believe they put 2 little maples together to look like a bigger one. 💚

    • @17m2garden
      @17m2garden 12 днів тому

      Hi! That's good thinking but it's definitely the wind, cause I put the maple there late winter before it leafed out and it actually looked better this year than ever before having that extra protection from sun💚 But the wind was absolutely horrible these past weeks and within literally 2 days the maple lost almost all its perfectly healthy green leaves... Oh wow really? Are they the same variety though? Well I think you can consider yourself lucky then 😍🍁!
